Purpose

The Secondary Support Teacher Training was conceptualized with the purpose of providing professional training to 200+ support teachers in the virtual classroom environment, especially during COVID.

Many stakeholders were involved in the development of this training, including Academic Leads, senior leadership, lead classroom teachers, SMEs, and intended recipients of the training. The key goal was to design a series of courses and trainings that would provide support teachers the tools they need in the virtual classroom environment in an application-based training that would directly impact their performance in the classroom, and ultimately support the learning experience of students.
